I am Mamadou Modibo TEKETE, a Pharmacist. Since 1999 I joined malaria research and training center at the department of epidemiology of parasitic diseases at the faculty of pharmacy, University of science, techniques and technology of Bamako, Mali. After my pharmacist thesis on the antimalarial drug resistance, specifically Plasmodium falciparum chloroquine resistance in 2001, I continue to work on this aspect of malaria treatment and control. I have participated in many clinical trials for evaluation of the new antimalarial drugs and research of molecular marker implicated in antimalarial drugs resistance. Currently, I am at the end of my PhD study at the University of Heidelberg in Germany, where I am interested in the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic characteristics of the partner drugs of artemisinin and its derivatives in Artemisinin-based combination treatment after repetitive treatment with the same combination.
I am also a member of the African society of parasitology (SOAP), deputy treasurer of the Malian society of parasitology and mycology (SOPAMYM).
